You, Me, Empathy - Episode 51: The Wild World of Anxiety with Julia of How Am I Feeling?

On Episode 51 of You, Me, Empathy, How Am I Feeling? creator Julia and I explore the overwhelm of anxiety, how anxiety impacts self-esteem, and how we can better accept and relieve anxiety.

Anxiety is a butthead, most assuredly.

Julia and I share this feeling, as we both struggle with anxiety. Today on the podcast, we talk about the wild world of anxiety, how it makes us feel like frauds and unworthy of love, how it impacts self-esteem, and causes havoc to feelings of inner and emotional security. We also talk about being introverts while growing communities, which, you know, as an introvert, can be hard sometimes!

I also ask about Julia’s wonderful community of feely humans in How Am I Feeling?, a place for people to feel safe to share their own mental health stories—in art, in writing, in pictures. How Am I Feeling? is like You, Me, Empathy in that way, creating safe spaces, and I am so grateful for that. Julia shares her experience with the growth of How Am I Feeling?, how it’s transformed since she first created it years ago, and what the future holds!

If you aren’t following How Am I Feeling?, I encourage you to do so! It’s beautiful.
