I've got an idea for a podcast. It's about mental health. And I recently chatted with my friend Josh about it (see below for audio!). The basic podcast concept is this:
A podcast about exploring the struggles we face in our day to day lives as humans trying to get by on this overwhelming and magnificent pale blue dot.
The intent is to talk openly, without judgment, about our neuroses, our mental illnesses, our shared anxieties.
The goal is to create a dialog that is vulnerable and deeply human and empathetic. The goal is to break free of the stigmatization of mental health and mental illness. The goal is to share that with others to inspire further dialog and honesty and self-care and vulnerability in our relationships—with other humans and with the world. The goal is to break down the social and societal artifice that makes us feel shame and guilt for being okay with our struggles.
