Why should I hire you, a total stranger and possible weirdo?
Okay, the truth is that I am definitely a weirdo. But that can really only help our relationship. I am also a pretty solid writer, editor, and general wordsmith, so if you're asking yourself why, lean on my talent. I believe that words matter greatly. With words, we communicate, we present ourselves to the world, we emphasize who we are. I can help you with that.
what do you charge for writing and editing services?
Prices vary. And, most importantly, humans and projects vary. I don't like to ascribe a "one size fits all" approach to anyone or anything, as we are all individuals, with unique needs and goals and favorite chocolate. Overall, I want to find the best solution possible for my clients; a solution that is affordable, mutually beneficial, and joyful.
what type of payments do you accept?
I invoice directly with Harvest and payments via Dwolla. I will take a check if I can hold onto your dog until the check clears.
why is your name so odd?
My mom is a hippie meets Calamity Jane meets Daniel Boone. She wanted a name that was different and guaranteed to be made fun of at recess. It's pronounced like known with a macron over the O. Fun with language!
How dare you ask me that. That's impossible to say. But I can say that I love The Trick is to Keep Breathing by Janice Galloway, Other Voices, Other Rooms by Truman Capote, The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway, All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven (we had Jennifer on Joy Sandwich not once, but twice!), and Poor Things by Alasdair Gray.
why do you always wear shorts?
I love them. Pants are the enemy, and they make my legs sweat. Like moist prisons. Shorts are more open to adventures too.
